Unnao gang rape surivivor set on fire by accused, passes away!

A 23-year-old woman, who was set on fire by those who were accused of raping her in Unnao, Uttar Pradesh passed away in a hospital in Delhi yesterday night.She had suffered 90 per cent burns after being set on fire on Thursday.
Admitted to Safdarjung Hospital, the woman died of a cardiac arrest a 11:40 pm. As said by the doctor Shalabh Kumar, head of department (Burns and Plastic), the woman suffered a cardiac arrest at 11:10 pm and though they gave their best efforts to save her, she passed away at 11:40 pm.
As said by the woman in her statement to the police she had been beaten brutally and was stabbed following which the men set her on fire near her village in Unnao. These five men were the ones the woman had accused of raping her and it was when she was heading to the court hearing in her rape complaint that the men surrounded her and did the crime. Even in burnt state, as she was on the way to the hospital, the woman identified the attackers and gave her final statement. Only before five days,Shivam Trivedi, who had been accused of raping her and was among the attackers, was released on bail and another accused Shubham Trivedi was also involved in the attack.
