Man dies after attending ‘COVID’ party hosted by infected person

A 30-year-old man from Texas, United States, died of coronavirus after attending a party hosted by an infected person. That man apparently thought that coronavirus was a hoax.

The chief medical officer at the Methodist Hospital in San Antonio reportedly stated, “Someone will be diagnosed with the disease, and they’ll have a party to invite their friends over to see if they can beat the disease. He thought he was young and invincible and wouldn’t get affected by the disease. I don’t want to be an alarmist, and we’re just trying to share some real-world examples to help our community realise that this virus is very serious and can spread easily. Please wear a mask, stay at home when you can, avoid groups of people and sanitise your hands.”

COVID-19 has claimed the lives of more than 576,310 people and infected over 13,267,250 people across the world. The virus was first identified in Wuhan, Hubei Province, in China. As the death toll and overall cases began rising rapidly across the world, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared a global health emergency and the outbreak was labelled a pandemic.
