Cook with Comali Pavithra Lakshmi is a part of a unique awareness initiative!

One of the popular contestants of Cook with Comali season 2 is model and actress Pavithra Lakshmi, who has been a part of many advertisements and is set to make her debut as a heroine in Malayalam film industry soon.

Known for her cute moments involving comali Pugazh in the show, now Pavithra Lakshmi is a part of a unique awareness campaign for HIV and her face is a part of a mural art on Indira Nagar railway station wall. 

Sharing a photo of the art, Pavithra posted “An outstanding initiative by @asianpaints and @startindia is the kind of thing I always look forward to being a part of. The largest panoramic mural “We are” is an attempt to create awareness about the stigma and misconceptions around AIDS and HIV. Denial of basic privileges and opportunities hampers an individual’s growth in all walks of life. It is not easy being an HIV survivor and have access to basics like the right to education, employment and residence in many parts of the world. Imagine living in such circumstances? Cruel right? Let’s pledge to treat everyone equally. Let the change start with us.Discrimination and stigmatization against HIV and AIDS survivors is not normal and is definitely not acceptable.The mural is designed by street artist A-Kill (@ad57akill_t3k ) with Delhi-based Khatra (@bykhatra). Located at Indira Nagar Railway Station, this magnificent artwork at Chennai is created in association TANSACS (@tansacs ), Tidel Park (@tidelparkchennai ), and Southern Railways.”
