The Central Government has given permission to the Indian film fraternity to resume shooting of films and daily soaps. Film theatres are all set to resume their work soon and it is a piece of good news to all those people who make their living with the opening of films and theatres.
Well, when the country has currently got more than 30 lakh cases in COVID-19 and seeing spike with each passing day, how far is it advisable for the public to make their way to the theatres?
This is the time where a person is not showing interest in attending the funeral of their loved ones, coming to theatres is out of the question.
The seating pattern in the theatres is pretty close to each other and sometimes, it happens that one person might touch the other by mistake. So close that when you cough or sneeze, it would affect people on all your sides. That means there is a whole lot of possibility for the number of cases to see surge more and more.
In this scenario, not many would take the courage to sit in the theatre for two and a half hours, and that too besides an unknown person.
Many film producers and actors are not showing interest in beginning the shoot because even they know that they cannot put the lives of others at risk.
Talking to a leading daily in Hyderabad, Ram Mohan Rao, Telangana Film Development Corporation Chairman, says, “The government has given permission but who is willing to take the risk and shoot under these circumstances? Covid-19 cases are rising every day in the state and people’s lives are more important than resuming shoot. Where will we release the films? But will people come?”
