Actor and producer Udhanidhi Stalin is now a minister as well. 'Kannai Nambathey' is one of the last few films in his acting career. He teamed up with director Mu Maran of 'Iravukku Aayiram Kangal' fame for this crime thriller. Yesterday, the movie's official trailer debuted on the internet.

The 1.5-minute trailer features a chilling monologue by Udhayanidhi Stalin. The audience is introduced to the characters of the Kannai Nambathey world, which are in sync with the monologue respectively. The promising film stars Udhay and Aathmika in the lead roles with Bhumika Chawla, Prasanna, Srikanth, Sathish, and Subhiksha Krishnan in prominent roles.

The trailer does not reveal much about the plot but surely engages the viewers. V N Ranjith Kumar produced the film under his Lipi Cine Krafts banner. Siddhu Kumar's background score, Jalandhar Vasan's frames and San Lokesh's cuts have made sure that the video is uber cool. Kannai Nambathey is all set to release in theatres on March 17.

The star cast of Kannai Nambathey also includes Vasundhara Kashyap, Marimuthu, Subiksha Krishnan, Pazha Karuppiah, Sendrayan and Ku Gnanasambandam in supporting roles. Meanwhile, Udhayanidhi Stalin has director Mari Selvaraj's 'Maamannan' preparing for a grand release, which is said to be his last film in the acting filmography.
