Is director Vetrimaaran’s upcoming film shelved? – Here’s the truth

‘Adhigaaram’ is one of the upcoming films to be directed by Durai Senthilkumar with a script penned by director Vetrimaaran starring the choreographer, filmmaker and actor Raghava Lawrence. Recently, reports were stating that Adhigaaram is most likely to be shelved.

Rumours started speculating that Adhigaaram was dropped due to the creative differences between Raghava Lawrence and the makers after director Durai Senthilkumar announced his new film with Lady Superstar Nayanthara. Now, the makers have opened up on the issues and cleared the air.

Taking to Twitter, Five Star Creations LLP wrote, “It’s really shocking to notice rumours spreading about our project #Adhigaaram getting dropped. We firmly announce the script works & shoot plans for #Adhigaaram is ongoing smoothly.” The production house launched the first-look poster last year and the shooting is said to kickstart very soon.

Adhigaaram is jointly produced by S Kathiresan’s Five Star Creations and Vetrimaaran’s Grassroot Film Company while Thaman S composes the musical score. On the work front, Raghava Lawrence is currently shooting for ‘Rudhran’ and ‘Chandramukhi 2’ while he also has several other projects on his slate.
