Trouble! Chetan Bhagat’s WhatsApp chat with woman revealed

Author Chetan Bhagat, one of the most popular English-language novelists in India, is being accused of harassing a woman with his “creepy” messages. A WhatsApp conversation with an unidentified woman was on Saturday revealed by @weeny (Sheena), a multimedia professional.

In the conversation, Chetan tells the woman that she is cute.  “Please get wooed by me,” he says to her.  He goes beyond, suggesting that he is attracted to the woman.

Many are condemning the author for “abusing” the woman verbally.  However, others are taking a diametrically opposite position.  “This is flirting.. cheap thrill flirt by @chetan_bhagat but surely not harassment. If we count even this as harassment than every other girl will not live a day without being “harassed”. Don’t blur lines,” Maya opines on Twitter.
