At a time when the discussion on a few Kollywood heroines not attending promotional activities of their own films, has taken the centre stage, actress Trisha with her signature boldness has revealed why she deliberately stood away from promoting her previous release 'Nayaki' the horror flick directed by debutant Govi.
'Nayaki' released last month to a lukewarm response and ended up as a box office dud. Its Telugu version released in July was also a colossal failure.
The film was produced by Giridhar who was Trisha's erstwhile manager.
In a recent interview Trisha has revealed that she was cheated by Giridhar on whom she reposed a lot of trust. She took up the film only based on that trust but the entire unit was cheated as the film was not made in the way it was promised by Giridhar. That's why she decided to not promote the film.
Past is past and the petite actress is at present busy with the whirl wind promotions for her grand Diwali release 'Kodi' in which she has played a village politician character with negative shades. It is also her first film with Dhanush and the film's success will reemphasise her as a strong performer.
