The captivating actress is playing the role ‘Kundhavai’ from the book. Kundhavai is the love interest of ‘Vandhiyathevan’ played by Karthi and the younger sister of ‘Aditya Karikalan’ played by Chiyaan Vikram. Trisha also underwent special training to sharpen her horse-riding skills for Ponniyin Selvan.

Produced by Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies, Ponniyin Selvan is the dream project of the legendary filmmaker Mani Ratnam. AR Rahman is composing the music for the film and Ravi Varman has cranked the camera. The magnum opus motion picture is most likely to storm the big screens in April 2022.
