An upcoming film actress was on Saturday night reportedly rescued from a prostitution racket by the Hyderabad police. She was there at an upscale Banjara Hills hotel when the raid was conducted.
The unnamed actress is reported to have arrived in Hyderabad from Mumbai. Originally hailing from Agra, she has been recognized to be a Tollywoodian. She is all of 24 years old.
As for the organizer of the brothel, he is A Janardhan Rao, who has been arrested. The police have described him as a habitual offender. He, along with others, has been accused of enticing budding cine artistes from differences places, especially Mumbai, into the brothel. It's learned by the police that Janardhan Rao and his partners charge as much as Rs. 20,000 from customers. They pay actresses as much as Rs. 1,00,000 per week.
