Earlier, We had broken the news to you that the National award-winning director Seenu Ramasamy is teaming up with GV Prakash for his next project. Financed by Kalaimagan Mubarak of Skyman Films, this film has talented actress Gayathrie Shankar is on board as the leading lady.

This movie is be based on the incidents in and around the Madurai landscape. The team is presently shooting in Kodaikanal. Today, the makers revealed the title of the film 'Idi Muzhakkam' and the director has opened up about the movie and its title.

Seenu said that this title evokes the right emotion for the script. "Idi Muzhakkam means the sound of thunder. When you heard the sound of thunder in a small village, the impact is even better. I have drawn a parallel to our lead character's anger in the film. It is as big as the thunder and has an impact. The 1980 Vijayakanth's film was titled Dhoorathu Idi Muzhkkam... and I felt the same would suit this subject as well. But GV suggested we keep it to Idi Muzhakkam as that itself has an impact," he added.

The director reveals, "The shooting is going on in full swing. We first shot in Theni and presently shooting in Kodai. After a five-day break, we will again shoot in Theni." GVP will play a meat shop owner at a rural place and will be sporting three different looks in the film. Gayathrie is playing a nurse who will also be seen in three looks: a school girl, a working woman and a mother.
