Dhanush’s latest Tamil release Thiruchitrambalam is performing extremely well at the box office. The heartwarming slice-of-life drama, directed by Mithran Jawahar, has grossed over ₹50 crores worldwide in its opening weekend.

Film trade analysts and industry trackers took to Twitter to announce the box office report of Thiruchitrambalam. It that the film has grossed over ₹50 crores in its opening weekend. Recently S.J. Suryah also praised the movie and tweeted: “Brammandam mattum jaipadhillai emotion-dhan jaikkum (Magnitude of a project alone does not make it win. Emotion is what wins.) Once again proved by Dhanush K. Raja sir’s ‘Thiruchitrambalam’.

Thiruchitrambalam is an emotional family drama directed by Mithran Jawahar. The film has music scored by Anirudh Ravichander. Cinematographer Om Prakash and editor Prasanna GK are part of the technical crew.

Thiruchitrambalam also stars Nithya Menen, Raashi Khanna, Prakash Raj, Bharathiraja and Priya Bhavani Shankar. It features Dhanush in the role of a food delivery boy. It marks the fourth collaboration between director Mithran Jawahar with Dhanush. The duo had worked together in the past on films like Kutty, Yaaradi Nee Mohini and Uttama Puthiran.
