Supermarket chain magnate Saravanan who runs the popular Legend Saravana Stores has turned hero for the new movie titled 'The Legend' directed by JD Jerry.  The music album by Harris Jayaraj that was released earlier is already a huge hit among the youth raising expectations for the film.

Saravanan who is also producing 'The Legend' at a very huge budget has handed over the release of the film to the top producer-distributor-financier Anbuchezian of Gopuram Films, paying an advance amount of around 30 Crores.  A video of the duo signing the deal has now gone viral.  The action entertainer is planned to be released in a staggering 800 theaters all over Tamil Nadu and half the number in rest of India and overseas.  This high number has so far been reserved only to the topmost heroes of Kollywood and this is the first time for a debutante.

'The Legend' has Bollywood actress Urvashi Rautela as Saravanan's pair while the ensemble cast includes Geethika Tiwari, Vijayakumar, Prabhu, Suman, Nassar, Livingston, Yogi Babu, Robo Shankar, Sachu, Vamsi Krishna, Latha, Deepa Shankar, Hareesh Peradi, Singampuli, Mayilswamy and Mansoor Ali Khan.

Yaashika Aannand and Lakshmi Rai are making special appearances dancing to the popular songs while 'The Legend' is the last movie in which the late comedy actor Vivek will appear.  He has played the role of Saravanan's uncle in the film.
