‘The Family Man’ Trailer: Intriguing & fierce

The trailer for ‘The Family Man 2’ is out. Starring Manoj Bajpayee as Srikanth Tiwari, who works as a senior analyst in the fictional Threat Analysis and Surveillance Cell of the NIA, this one is created by the Raj-DK duo.

Samantha Akkineni is cast as an LTTE terrorist named Raji. Also featuring Priyamani (as Bajpayee’s wife), Sharib Hashmi, Neeraj Madhav, Kishore Kumar and others, the espionage series will stream on Amazon Prime from June 4. 

The makers have said that the second season has got higher stakes than the first one. The antagonist here is fiercer. Shot in various real locations, the series will also be laced with situational humour. 

The first season had Bajpayee as both a middle-class family man and a world-class spy. Going by the trailer, the beats of the first season have been retained for the second season. The USP of the espionage thriller is intact. 

With music by Sachin-Jigar, the series’ release has been delayed by months. “The wait will be worth it,” the makers today said. “We had promised that the season will release by the end of the Summer. And we have kept the promise,” the makers said.
