Nani’s The Paradise witnessed a noticeable drop in collections on its second day after registering the biggest opening day of his career. Despite a decline of nearly 50 percent on Day 2 and the negative buzz surrounding the film, the movie continued to post strong numbers at the box office.
According to the reported figures, The Paradise collected around ₹17.5 crore gross in India on its second day. With this, the film’s two-day India gross has reached approximately ₹72.5 crore.
The film’s overseas collections were relatively limited on Day 2. Nevertheless, its strong opening-day performance helped The Paradise reach around ₹98 crore in worldwide gross after two days.
Crossing close to the ₹100 crore worldwide mark within just two days is a significant milestone for the Nani-starrer, particularly following the substantial opening it recorded on Day 1.
Directed by Srikanth Odela, The Paradise presents the story of a marginalized community fighting for its identity, with Nani portraying a character who emerges as its leader. The film is produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri, while Anirudh Ravichander has composed the music.
The coming days will be crucial for The Paradise as the film looks to sustain its theatrical momentum and convert its strong opening into a healthy overall run.
