“If we forget our roots, our destination loses its meaning,” Naga Chaitanya’s character quotes his “friend” as saying. The friend is most likely a euphemism for his father.
The trailer then traces the different stages of his life, where he fell in love with two women in different phases. “More than the love you hold onto, the love that legs go is way superior,” the protagonist says in a subsequent segment in the trailer.
Writer BVS Ravi has told a story wherein the journey is long. The male protagonist doubles up as a feel-warm, feel-breezy narrator to boot. The trailer is filled with his monologue. He savours the first flight journey, the first crush’s attention, but is pained by the first ‘Rakhi’ sister.
Raashi Khanna, Malavika Nair and Avika Gor have a compelling screen presence.
The hockey backdrop, the rich-country backdrop, the picturesque locals all complete the picture.
Directed by Vikram K Kumar, this Dil Raju-Shirish production has music by Thaman. PC Sreeram’s visuals are fabulous. Dialogues are by Venkat D Pati, and Mithun Chaitanya. Lyrics are by Chandrabose, Anantha Sriram, Vanamali, and Vishwa. Production Design is by Raam Kumar.
The film will hit the screens on July 22.
