'Varisu' is Thalapathy Vijay's upcoming film with Telugu director Vamshi Paidipally. Starring Vijay and Rashmika Mandanna as the lead, the team is shooting for the movie in the locales of Chennai, Hyderabad and Vizag. The film is slated to hit the screens worldwide on Pongal 2023.

As per the sources, the latest update is that the makers have planned the 'Varisu' shooting till October 10. A song sequence and a family drama portion are yet to be filmed in Chennai. Reportedly, the entire shooting will be wrapped up after these portions. As we reported earlier, the first single from 'Varisu' will be released on Diwali.

The movie's dubbing works and other post-production works will commence after Diwali. Thaman has composed the musical score for 'Varisu'. The first single is said to be a peppy romantic track sung by Sid Sriram and Jonita Gandhi. Sources also say that Thalapathy Vijay, Anirudh and Karthik have crooned songs in this album.
