Official! Here is the exact release date of Thalapathy Vijay’s ‘Varisu’ – All set for the Pongal clash

Finally, Pongal 2023 is officially set for the epic clash. Though Vijay’s Varisu and Ajith’s Thunivu were announced to lock horns at the box office on the festive weekend, there has been so much confusion regarding the exact release date of these movies. Now, we have the exact dates of both films.

The big hot news that all Thalapathy fans were waiting for is finally here. The makers of Varisu also moved the release date to January 11 as Ajith Kumar’s ‘Thunivu’ was advanced to the same date earlier. The production house, Sri Venkateswara Creations, announced it officially yesterday with a new poster after the Thunivu producers revealed the date.

Taking to Twitter, the movie team wrote, “#Varisu is releasing worldwide in theatres on Jan 11th Indha Pongal pakka celebration nanba #VarisuFromJan11” (sic). Varisu is a family entertainer starring Thalapathy Vijay, Rashmika Mandanna and Prakash Raj in the lead roles. Thaman scored music for the film with visuals by Karthik Palani and cuts by Praveen KL.
