A famous director stating that he was planning to direct a film with Thalapathy Vijay in a double role, but it was dropped due to another film starring Arun Vijay that had a similar story line.

Mohan Raja one of the famous directors of Tamil film industry has directed several super hit films including 'Velayutham' starring Thalapathy Vijay. In a recent interview, he said that he had narrated a story to Vijay that had him dual roles as twins which the superstar liked. But unfortunately at the same time 'Thadam' directed by Magizh Thirumeni had released with a similar storyline and hence the project had to be dropped.

However Mohan Raja added that he has now changed the same script in a different angle that will suit Vijay's current stature and also has two more screenplays ready for the favorite hero. He is confident that he will reunite with Vijay soon and is currently planning to start 'Thani Oruvan 2' starring brother Jayam Ravi and Nayanthara.
