Thalapathy Vijay's three looks in 'Sarkar' that were released on his birthday last week have created a huge sensation on the internet becoming one of the most viewed worldwide. The film directed by A.R. Murugadoss and produced by Sun Pictures is now the hottest in the trade and there is a bidding war for the theatrical rights of the film.

It is learnt from reliable sources that Sri Thenandal Studios has bagged the Tamil Nadu theatrical rights of 'Sarkar' and the official announcement would come soon. Vijay's previous blockbuster 'Mersal' was produced by the same company to add to the excitement of fans.

'Sarkar' an A.R. Rahman musical has Vijay, Keerthy Suresh, Varalakshmi Sarathkumar, Yogi Babu, Premkumar, Pazha Karuppiah and Radha Ravi in the cast. The film is confirmed for release on Diwali 2018.
