Thalapathy Vijay's upcoming film 'Master' directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and costarring Vijay Sethupathi is the most awaited film of the year. Due to coronavirus pandemic, the film's release planned for April 9th was stalled and has been postponed indefinitely. OTT platforms have offered huge sums to stream the film directly but Vijay and the team wanting his fans to enjoy the theater experience has declined the offers.
Meanwhile the Telugu version of Vijay's super hit 2014 film 'Jilla' is getting a direct OTT release this month on Amazon Prime Video. The film directed by R.T.Neason has The Complete Actor Mohan Lal teaming up with Vijay for the first time with Kajal Aggarwal, Poornima Bhagyaraj, Soori, Nivetha Thomas and Mahat in other important roles.
Producer R.B. Chaudhary who bankrolled 'Jilla' under his banner Super Good Films planned to have a simultaneous release in Telugu but for some reason it never happened. Now the market of Vijay in the Telugu speaking region has grown multifold and the recent 'Bigil' was also well received.
There is an additional character in 'Jilla' Telugu version featuring ace comedian Brahmanandham who is a big draw in Tollywood and his presence in the posters along with Vijay, Kajal and Mohan Lal is pretty enticing for the audience as well. A record breaking views for the action entertainer is expected which should give scope for the Thalapathy Vijay fans this month to celebrate on social media.
