Thalapathy Vijay is said to be holidaying in Europe after completely wrapping up his portions for ‘Leo’ directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film with music by Anirudh and costarring Trisha and Sanjay Dutt among others is releasing on October 19th worldwide.
Meanwhile director Venkat Prabhu is involved in the hectic preproduction work for his next movie starring Vijay tentatively titled ‘Thalapathy 68’. Yuvan Shankar Raja is scoring the music for the film while AGS Productions is bankrolling it. A couple of months back it was speculated that VP is keen to cast Jyothika as the lead heroine. Now sources say that the team has in fact approached the veteran actress and asked for dates in October and November.
If the deal works out then Vijay and Jyothika who paired up in the super hit films ‘Kushi’ and ‘Thirumalai’ will reunite on screen after 20 years. It is worth mentioning that Atlee also approached Jyothika to pair with Vijay in ‘Mersal’ but later cast Nithya Menen in the well received character. Lets wait and watch how it turns out this time.
