A veteran Tamil hero to act with Vijay for the first time in ‘Thalapathy 67’?

Lokesh Kanagaraj has become the talk of tinsel town after making his mentor Kamal Haasan proud by delivering him his career best commercial film ‘Vikram’.  Now all eyes are on his next which is ‘Thalapathy 67’ for which the pre-production work has already begun.

We already informed you that the team is planning to cast Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt and Mollywood superstar Prithviraj in negative shaded characters along with four other big names.  Now the word spreading in Kollywood is that Action King Arjun has been penciled in for one of those above mentioned characters.

Arjun one of the top heroes of the eighties and nineties is now doing character roles and has worked with Ajith in ‘Mankatha’ and Sivakarthikeyan in ‘Hero’.  If he signs on the dotted line for ‘Thalapathy 67’ it will be his first film with Vijay.

‘Thalapathy 67’ reportedly reunites the ‘Master’ team of Vijay, Lokesh Kanagaraj, Anirudh Ravichander and Seven Screen Studios.  Samantha is said to be the hot favorite to star as one of the heroines while Trisha is also rumoured to be in the film.  Stay tuned for the official updates that could arrive either on August 24th or in early September.
