Vijay the first mass hero in Tamil cinema to try this in ‘Thalapathy 67’ ?

Thalapathy Vijay’s ‘Varisu’ costarring Rashmika Mandanna is slated for release on ‘Pongal 2023’ with huge expectations.  His next project ‘Thalapathy 67’ directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, day by day is getting even more hype making it one of the most expected in Indian cinema currently.

Reports have emerged that talks are in with such names as Kamal Haasan, Vishal, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun and Trisha among others to star in  ‘Thalapathy 67’.  As far as we know Seven Screen Studios is producing the biggie with Anirudh scoring the music.  The grand pooja will happen on December 5th when more details will be out 

Meanwhile fresh reports have emerged that Vijay is planning to experiment with the revenue sharing module in ‘Thalapathy 67’ instead of opting for a fixed salary.  This method that has existed for decades in Hollywood in recent times is followed by most of the top stars in Bollywood and Tollywood.  This will ensure that the heroes will recieve their usual salary if the film becomes an average grosser while the earnings will double and even treble when they are blockbusters are world-wide blockbusters such as ‘Baahubali’, ‘KGF’, ‘RRR’ and ‘Kantara’.

Vijay is currently one of the highest paid superstars in South Indian cinema taking home in excess of 100 crores.  With the kind of hype that ‘Thalapathy 67’ is carrying he has every chance of earning rupees 200 crores are more.
