Thalaivasal Vijay is one of the veteran character actors in Tamil cinema who has maintained a steady market for over 30 years since his debut in 1992 with 'Thalaivasal'. Apart from acting in more than 200 films in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi and Kannada he is also busy as a dubbing artist.

Thalaivasal Vijay is married to Preetha and has two children Jayawant Vijay and Jayaveena Vijay. The latter is a swimming champion with several achievements in her field including a silver medal at SAG 2019.

A couple of days back Jayaveena got engaged to popular cricketer Baba Aparjith and the couple shared the news on their respective social media pages. They were seeing each other for the past few years and have now decided to take their relationship to the next level. Top cricketers including West Indies superstar Jason Holder, Shreyas Gopal and Pragathi Guru have congratulated the couple online.

The Tamil Nadu cricketer made his Ranji debut at the age of 17. He was instrumental in India's victory in the Under 19 World Cup in 2012 and scored a double century in the Dulip Trophy in 2013. The batting allrounder has played for CSK and Rising Pune Giants at the IPL.

It is said that parents on both the sides will discuss and decide a suitable date for the Jayaveena-Aparajith wedding. The South Indian film industry as well as top Indian cricketers are expected to attend the wedding.
