Aside from being a celebrated actor across Tamil Nadu, Ajith is known for his various pursuits outside the cine industry. It is well known that he is a professional car racer and has participated in several international racing events. Apart from this, the actor also engages himself in rifle shooting and has previously taken part in state-level shooting championships.

Ajith is currently at Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range in New Delhi to participate in a National level shooting competition. He reportedly developed a passion for rifle shooting following his stint as an NCC cadet during his school days. Ajith also recently participated in the 10-meter air pistol and 50-meter free pistol competition in the State Shooting Championship that was held in Coimbatore.

Meanwhile, Ajith is busy with work on his upcoming movie, the untitled Thala 60, directed by H. Vinoth. Updates on the movie are expected to be announced soon. There are also speculations that Ajith might be playing the lead in the Tamil remake of the critically acclaimed Bollywood movie, Article 15, starring Ayushmann Khurrana.
