TFPC to take strict action against 14 top actors and actresses – Details

On June 18, the Tamil Film Producers Council’s general committee meeting was held. The Executives obtained approval from the Committee members to take action in various matters. A list of actors who did not provide call sheets after receiving advance salary from the producers was taken note of.

Simbu, Vishal, SJ Surya, Atharvaa, Vijay Sethupathi and Yogibabu, who are leading actors in Tamil cinema, were said to be included in this list. In this regard, a discussion was held between the Producers’ Council and the Nadigar Sangam this afternoon.

Sources say that Sri Thenandal Studios head Murali Ramasamy alleged that Dhanush has walked out of a film that he was directing and sought help from the council to force him to complete the film and then move on to his next assignments. I

Similar allegations have been filed against against 14 actors and actresses for various issues.  Actresses Amala Paul and Lakshmi Raai allegedly employed ten body guards to protect them during shooting and charged their exhorbitant salaries to the producers.  It is said that strict action will be taken against the stars and details of what that is will be released officially next week.
