Telugu heroes’ films find a unique place on IMDb list

IMDb has brought out a list of the most anticipated Summer releases from India. By Summer releases, it means the calendar followed in countries like the US.

Interestingly, the films of four Telugu heroes have found a place on the list. At No. 3 is ‘Adipurush’, the pan-India film starring Prabhas in the lead. The film is slated to hit the screens on June 16. 

At No. 5 is ‘Chatrapathi’, starring Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas in the lead. The Hindi-language film is slated to hit the screens on May 12. After the recent teaser release, the film is gaining buzz.

At No. 9 is Teja Sajja’s ‘Hanu-Man’, directed by Prasanth Varma. The film’s final release date is yet to be made official. 

At No. 10 is ‘Custody’, starring Naga Chaitanya as a cop. Set to hit the screens on May 12, the Telugu-Tamil bilingual is directed by Venkat Prabhu. 

While Bollywood heroes like Shah Rukh Khan (‘Jawaan’ releases on June 2), Ajay Devgn (‘Maidaan’ releases on June 23), Ranbir Kapoor (‘Animal’ releases on August 11), Ranveer Singh (‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’ releases on July 28), and Sunny Deol (‘Gadar 2’ releases on August 11) have a lion’s share, the only non-Hindi industry that finds a representation on the list is Tollywood.
