Telangana: 1,842 new cases in 24 hours

Telangana has logged 1,842 cases in 24 hours (as of August 23, 8PM).  This brought the cumulative caseload in the State to 1,06,091.

With 6 deaths in the 24-hour period, the cumulative fatality number stands at 761.  The number of recovered cases stands at 82,411, with 1,825 recovering in the past 24 hours.

Case fatality rate is 0.71%.  The cumulative recovery rate stands at 77.67%, which is more than India’s cumulative recovery rate of 74.90%.

The total number of active cases now stands at 22,919.  As many as 16,482 individuals are in home or institutional isolation in the State.

Percentage of deaths due to COVID-19: 46.13%

Percentage of deaths due to Co-morbidities: 53.87%
