Action on more piracy sites following Tamil Rockers admins arrest

Online piracy websites have always been a plaguing issue to Tamil film industry. They pose a serious threat to the revenues as sometimes we could even see films getting leaked on the same day of the theatrical release. However, we were able to breathe a sigh of relief as yesterday five admins of Tamil Rockers were nabbed.

Meanwhile the latest update is that cops have blocked 28 sites which have been illegally uploading films online. Reportedly, the action has been taken based on the complaints given by Tamil Film Producers Council and the police is currently involved in investigations pertaining to the admins of the said websites.
