Tamil Nadu: 11-year-old girl forced to watch porn and raped by three teenage boys

Three teenage boys from Tamil Nadu’s Coimbatore have been booked for allegedly repeatedly sexually assaulting an 11-year-old girl.

The minor girl has been residing with her windowed father in a house near Sundarapuram. The class 7 girl usually stays at the landlord’s bouse while her father is away on work. The landlord had reportedly bought his 16-year-old son a smartphone to attend his online classes. “On May 20, when the girl was there watching television she is said to have noticed the boy and his friend watching pornography on the smartphone. On realising she had seen then, the two boys allegedly forced the girl to watch the videos before taking her to her house upstairs and sexually assaulting her. Police said they assaulted her repeatedly and warned her against telling anyone. According to police, the boys later invited another boy, a minor, to join them in sexually assaulting the girl. This went on for a week,” the police reportedly mentioned. After developing severe stomach cramps, she was taken to the hospital, where she informed the doctors what had happened.

Based on a complaint by the victim’s father, a case was registered against the three boys under Sections 5 (aggravated penetrative sexual assault) and 6 (punishment for aggravated penetrative sexual assault) of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Further investigation of the incident is underway.
