Two women who shared a house ordered food online on May 12th night and when they heard the bell ring thinking their order had arrived opened the door but to their utmost shock, three unknown men barged in wielding knives. The men then threatening with the knives sexually assaulted the two helpless women and left.
The incident occurred in the busy Koramangala area in Bengaluru and the victims lodged a complaint with the police. Based on the identification given by them the police arrested and filed a gangrape case on 24 year old television actor Rakesh and his friends auto driver Manikanta and pani puri seller Surya. Isha Pant, deputy police commissioner has told the press that the men had warned that the victims would be killed if they went to the police but gathering strength from their friends they went to the law on Friday five days after the horrid incident.
