Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide on June 14 and since then, the family of the ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’ and ‘Chhichhore’ actor has largely kept silent. For the first time, the deceased actor’s family issued a statement, on Saturday.
A highlight of the statement is that the bereaved family has decided to set up a foundation to help young talents in cinema, sports and science, besides transforming his childhood home into a memorial.
Describing SSR as a “free-spirited, talkative and incredibly bright” guy, the family emotionally said that they “can’t bring ourselves to accept that we wouldn’t get to hear his easy laughs anymore”.
The statement further added, “To honour his memory and legacy, the family has decided to set up Sushant Singh Rajput Foundation (SSRF) to support young talents in areas close to his heart – cinema, science and sports. His childhood home in Rajiv Nagar, Patna, will be turned into a memorial. We will put his personal memorabilia and belongings there, that include thousands of books, his telescope, flight-simulator etc, for his fans and admirers.”
