Video : Sushant was deeply hurt after Shah Rukh Khan ‘insulted’ him: Friend

It has been over two months since Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s but the debate surrounding his suicide is yet to subside. Several people related to the actor have made numerous accusations and allegations and Sushant’s gym partner has now reportedly claimed that he was deeply hurt after Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan ‘insulted’ him during the IIFA Awards ceremony that was held in Macau in 2013.

In an interview with an entertainment portal, Sushant’s gym partner Sunil Shukla reportedly stated, “Sushant told me that Shah Rukh had asked him to practice a signature step. He was also very happy with this invitation. Shah Rukh Khan had said that he will talk about his career and struggle but after going to the stage, he started insulting Sushant. Sushant was deeply hurt by this behaviour of Shah Rukh Khan.” He apparently further mentioned that he has been trying to record his official statement with the Bandra police in Mumbai as he has an “ample amount of information” but has been unable to do so. Meanwhile, Sushant’s father KK Singh accused Rhea of abetting his suicide, an FIR was registered against her under sections 341 (punishment for wrongful restraint), 342 (punishment for wrongful confinement), 380 (theft in dwelling house), 406 (punishment for criminal breach of trust), 420 (Cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property) and 306 (abetment of suicide) of the Indian Penal Code.

However, Sushant’s psychologist-therapist, Susan Walker, informed a journalist that the actor was suffering from bipolar disorder. She had reportedly stated, “Sushant was suffering terribly during his bouts of depression and hypomania. I met Sushant and Rhea on several occasions in November and December 2019 and communicated again with Rhea in June of this year. Sushant was suffering from bipolar disorder, a severe mental illness that can be crippling for an individual during an episode. Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide in Mumbai on June 14.
