Who was the first choice for Sarpatta Parambarai? – Director Pa Ranjith spills a bean

Cinema industry is filled with talents and it is not uncommon for an actor to star in a film that another actor missed. There are many actors in Tamil cinema who made their debut as villains and later became heroes and actor Arya is one of them. Many of Arya’s films have received critical acclaim. His last film, ‘Mahamuni’, was also well received by the fans.
 
Following this film, actor Arya Pa Ranjith starred in the movie ‘Sarpatta Parambarai’. The trailer of this film was released recently and the team is all set to release this much awaited film digital platform.

In a recent interview director Pa Ranjith opened up on who was the first choice to play the lead in this film. Ranjith said “I have known Arya since the time of the film Madras. He would often ask me to prepare a story for him”. 

 
He also added that he didn’t write the script for any particular hero. He discussed the film with other heroes but eventually ended up with Arya.The film is expected to be a full-fledged action movie that traces the boxing culture that prevailed in North Madras.The film also stars Kalaiyarasan, Sanchana Natarajan in lead roles besides Pasupathi, John Vijay, Santhosh Prathap, Anupama Kumar, Kaali Venkat, John Kokken in supporting roles.
