Kollywood star Suriya has officially begun work on his much-anticipated 47th film, joining hands with Malayalam filmmaker Jithu Madhavan of Aavesham fame. Ever since early reports of their collaboration surfaced, the film—tentatively titled #Suriya47—has remained one of the most talked-about projects of the year, stirring strong curiosity among fans and cinephiles. The project is backed by Zhagaram Studios and features Nazriya Nazim as the leading lady, while rising Malayalam actor Naslen plays a significant role.

The film was formally launched today in Chennai with a traditional pooja ceremony, marking the start of an exciting new creative partnership between Suriya and Jithu Madhavan.
