Suriya’s Kaappaan locks release date?

Actor Suriya has been on a hectic schedule as he had wrapped his NGK, which was recently announced as a May 31 release, and has been dubbing for the movie, and his next production venture in his 2D Entertainment banner – Uriyadi 2 is also gearing up for an April release.

Meanwhile, the actor is also busy shooting for his next after NGK, the action packed thriller Kaappaan directed by his Ayan and Maattrraan director KV Anand, and produced by Lyca Productions. Suriya plays an NSG Commando in the movie, and the movie revolves around how he protects the nation.

The latest speculation that is making rounds is that Kaappaan might be released on August 30, which will be a 4 day extended weekend, with Monday (September 2) being Vinayakar Chathurthi. An official clarification is yet to be made on this speculation. Kaappaan also stars Mohanlal, Arya, Sayyeshaa, Samuthirakani and Boman Irani.
