While it was long expected that Suriya’s next project would be Vaadivasal with director Vetrimaaran, a new announcement has revealed a different direction — leading to fresh speculation that Vaadivasal has been delayed once again.
Currently, Suriya is gearing up for the release of Retro, directed by Karthik Subbaraj, which is set to hit theaters on May 1st. Alongside this, he is also wrapping up work on Suriya 45, directed by RJ Balaji, with filming almost complete. Naturally, fans have been eager to know which project he would take up next.
At the Retro promotional event held yesterday, Suriya officially announced that his next film will be directed by Venky Atluri. Known for helming films like Vaathi (starring Dhanush) and Lucky Bhaskar (starring Dulquer Salmaan), Venky Atluri brings his proven storytelling skills to the table.
Adding to the excitement, the film will be produced by the renowned Telugu production house Sithara Entertainments.
As it stands, it appears that Suriya will only move on to Vaadivasal after completing this newly announced project, tentatively referred to as Suriya 46.
