‘Suriya 37’ sparks a huge surprise with the title

Actor Suriya’s ’37th film directed by K.V.Anand has been titled as ‘Kaapaan’. The film stars Mohanlal, Arya, Sayyesha, Boman Irani, Samuthirakani and many others. The film is being produced by Lyca Productions and Harris Jayaraj is composing the music.

The makers followed a new strategy to finalized the title of this most expected film. They had announced three titles in Twitter and requested the fans to select one of them. The three titles in consideration were ‘Meetpaan’., ‘Kaappaan’ and ‘Uyirkka’.

While many thought that the makers will finalize ‘Uyirkka’ since it sounded like an unknown word in Tamil as it has been the practice of K.V.Anand (such as ‘Ayan’ and ‘Kavan’), the makers have sparked a surprise by finalizing ‘Kaappaan’ as the title.

‘Kaapaan’ means saviour or protector and this suits the genre of the film which apparently deals with security of nation.
