Suriya's Kanguva is one of the upcoming films at the pan-India level. Directed by Siva, the film's pre-release event was held today in Hyderabad. SS Rajamouli who attended the event as a special guest delivered an interesting speech.
"Many credit me that I started pan-India films. But, frankly speaking, one of the main reasons that I attempted pan-India films is Suriya. He inspired me to attempt pan-India films," he said.
"During the release of Ghajini, Suriya used to come here and promote his films. The way he promoted the movies and got close to the Telugu audiences is a case study for me which I always tell other actors and filmmakers. I always tell them that we should also gain love and support like how Suriya did," said Rajamouli.
"It is true that we planned to do a film but it did not happen. Suriya once said that he missed an opportunity to work with him but in fact, I missed an opportunity to work with him. I respect Suriya for choosing to go ahead with a story than a story maker," praised Rajamouli.
The film Kanguva is hitting the screens on the 14th of this month.
