Is Suriya playing a dual role in Bala’s films? – Here is what we know

Suriya has announced his upcoming film with director Bala, and the duo has reunited for the fourth time after 11 years. Rumours were floating on the internet that Surya will play a dual role in this film with one of the characters having hearing and speech impairments. Now a close source has revealed that Suirya is not playing a dual role in this film

The source tells us, “Suriya is playing only one character in the film, but it will be an intense one, something which requires a lot of effort from the actor. Krithi Shetty is paired opposite Suriya, while Mollywood actress Mamitha Baiju will be playing his sister; she has an equally important role. The team is shooting in Kanyakumari and will go to Madurai next. This will be at least a 40-day-long schedule. After this, they will head to Goa.”

The film went on floors with a poojai early this week in Kanyakumari. Taking to his social media handle, Suriya, who had earlier acted under Bala’s direction in Nandha and Pithamagan, wrote, “Been waiting for #DirBala na my mentor to say Action!!! …After 18 years, it’s happiness today…! This moment… we need all your wishes! #Suriya41 (sic).”

Krithi Shetty of Upenna fame is all set to make her Kollywood debut through this film. the young actress has already impressed Telugu fans in the films like Shyam Singa Roy opposite Nani and Bangarraju opposite Nagarjun.
