Leading star actor Suriya wrote a congratulatory message to Stalin in Tamil and he began by quoting the words of the late Kalaigniar M. Karunanidhi "Can we do it? is the hesitation that arises before defeat but "We will do it come what may" is the seed of victory".
Suriya has continued "My heartiest congratulations to you the leader whom the people have chosen and there is a lot for you to do now come what may. It gives us immense hope that you have assumed power In this pandemic period when people are starved even for their life air (oxygen). We trust that under your rule Tamil Nadu will develop robustly. My best wishes to you and the well-qualified ministers in your cabinet.
Suriya then concluded by saying "Henceforth you will represent the unified voice of Tamilians to redeem the rights of the Tamil people".
