Suri Cruise just finished high school. Accompanied by her mother, the daughter of Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise celebrated her milestone by picking her diploma from LaGuardia High School Friday.
Shared by Page Six, pictures and videos show Suri celebrating with Holmes and a friend in New York City, where she lives. She was also observed grinning broadly at another graduate. Suri, 18, appeared happy as she posed for photos with 45-year-old Holmes outside a brick building before making her way to Manhattan’s Washington Heights area United Palace Theatre.
Suri wore a lovely white dress under her red graduation robe for the event and matched white sandals with flower motifs. Her brown hair was down. Holmes chose a light yellow ensemble with pleated pants and a collared long-sleeve top.
Suri’s father, Tom Cruise, was conspicuously absent from the occasion; he and Suri had been estranged for much of her life. Instead he was seen at Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in London.
Suri uses the name “Suri Noelle,” not her father’s last name, per the graduation ceremony brochure. This September she is scheduled to be attending Pittsburgh’s Carnegie Mellon University.
Suri went to her senior prom with pals and a brunette date seen clutching her at the waist earlier in the week. She styled her hair half-up, half-down, evocative of her mother’s look, wearing a floral gown inspired by the 1990s with a bustier top and maroon piping.
Suri is the only kid of Holmes. Holmes hasn’t remarried since she separated from Tom Cruise in 2012.
