Superstar Rajinikanth and Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan to act together in a film after four decades?

Superstar Rajinikanth and Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan are Indian cinema’s biggest icons. The two have worked together in many films during the initial phase of their career. Their last on-screen collaboration dates back to 1981 when Kamal did a cameo in Superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘Thillu Mullu’. Then, they shared the screen in a Hindi film.

Now, the hot news is that Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan are going to act together after almost 40 years in a prestigious film. Yes, it will be the biopic of Isaignani Ilaiyarajaa starring Dhanush and directed by Arun Matheswaran. This movie was launched with a first-look poster by the musical maestro and Ulaganayagan on March 20.

Kamal Haasan has already confirmed that he is writing the screenplay for ‘Ilaiyaraaja’. The latest reports suggest that Rajini and Kamal will appear in cameo roles as themselves in this biggie. It is worth mentioning that Rajini and Kamal are great friends of Ilaiyaraaja. Many classic songs came to life in their combo in the 80s and the 90s, which still stays rent-free in the hearts of people.
