Superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘Thalaivar 171’: ‘Vikram’ star joins; Heroine revealed; Bollywood actor on board?

Superstar Rajinikanth is set to wrap up filming for ‘Vettaiyan’ this month. He will then start working with director Lokesh Kanagaraj for the next movie ‘Thalaiavar 171’. The teaser of the movie with its highly anticipated title reveal will be released on April 22. The shooting for this teaser is scheduled to take place this week.

Meanwhile, reports have emerged that Girish Gangadharan is joining as the cinematographer of ‘Thalaivar 171’. He has already worked with Loki in the all-time blockbuster, ‘Vikram’. It is speculated that actress Shobana is set to reunite with Thalaivar after 33 years in this biggie. They were last seen together in the 1991 classic, ‘Thalapathi’.

Also, sources have confirmed that Bollywood star Ranveer Singh is roped into ‘Thalaivar 171’ for an important role which was earlier denied by the King, Shah Rukh Khan. Kalanithi Maran is producing this movie under Sun Pictures with music by Anirudh and stunts by Anbariv. The expectations for this film grow multifold every day. More details are awaited.
