The Supreme Court verdict today on the 11 year Cauvery Tribunal judgement has reduced water allocation to Tamil Nadu from 192 TMC to 177.25 TMC. The 14.75 DMC deficit to the already dry Tamil Nadu has many expressing their disppointment including Kamal Haasan who was one of the first to react.
Superstar Rajinikanth who is also making his political debut this year starting the Rajini Makkal Mandran has taken to twitter to share his views. “The Supreme Court’s verdict on the Cauvery water sharing will further affect the livelihood of the farming community of Tamil Nadu which is very disappointing. The Tamil Nadu government should file an appeal immediately” is what the Thalaivar had to say.
