Nithya Menon has become the first mainstream south Indian actress to play a lesbian in the just released ’Awe’ produced by actor Nani and directed by Prashanth Varma.  Nithay who tasted great success as Vijay’s wife in ‘Mersal’ has taken on the bold role of a psychologist who romances young Tollywood heroine Eesha Rebba in the film.
