Superstar Rajinikanth was in Bandipur forests of Karnataka for the past couple of days to shoot for the Discovery Channel's Man vs Wild hosted by Bear Grylls. He is the second high profile Indian after Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take up the challenge of surviving in the forests in tough conditions.

There were rumors that Rajini had hurt himself in the shoulder and ankles and cut short his shooting and rushed back home. However the thespian made it clear at the Chennai airport that he completed the stint and that thorns pierced him and nothing more than that happened in Bandipur.

Rajini has today posted the message "Thank you very much, dear Bear Grylls, for an unforgettable experience ... love you. Discovery India thank you for Into the Wilds with Bear Grylls.".
