Superstar Rajinikanth’s movie ‘Lingaa’ directed by K.S. Ravikumar was released in 2014 with Anushka and Sonakshi Sinha playing his love interests. The film dealt with the hero building a dam for the people in the British era. A film director Ravirathnam from Madurai filed in the Madurai sessions court that the story has been copied from his movie ‘Mullaivanam 999’.
The court allowed the release of ‘Lingaa’ asking producer Rockline Venkatesh to pay an insurance sum of rupees 10 Crores. Now Venkatesh has released a statement that he fought the case in the Supreme Court and the final judgement has come in his favor. He has pointed out that Rajini will sing a song in the movie which has the lines “The Truth shall be known one day and the world will utter your name” and it has become a reality now.
