Superstar Rajinikanth is currently shooting for the final schedule of 'Jailer' directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and his fans are super eager to know when he will begin his next. Lyca Productions has officially announced that 'Laal Salaam' is going on floors today on the auspicious Holi festival.

'Lal Salaam' is directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth and it is her third film after '3' and 'Vai Raja Vai'. Rajini is playing a special role in the film while Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth are the main leads. Veteran actress Jeevitha Rajasekhar makes a comeback to Tamil cinema after three decades and she is reportedly playing the younger sister of Rajini.

'Lal Salaam' deals with cricket and it is well known that Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth are both state level players and star performers in the Celebrity Cricket League. According to reliable sources the current schedule will feaure the two heroes while Rajinikanth will join the sets a few weeks later after he wraps up 'Jailer'.

Isaipuyal A.R. Rahman is scoring the music for 'Lal Salaam' and this the first time that he and Aishwarya Rajinikanth. The film is expected to wrap up in a few months time and will release on a festive date later this year.
